What is Tenue de Lumière?

A portrait studio in Watermael-Boitsfort, Brussels, that has been making portraits for more than twenty years. It is run by Éléonore Dumont, a portrait photographer trained at INSAS and the Portrait Masters, and Gaël Nguyen, a civil engineer by training and an entrepreneur.

Who is the signature portrait for?

Executives, artists, entrepreneurs and public figures, for professional use as much as for themselves. Each session is built around the person and what they embody.

How much does a portrait cost?

€500 excl. VAT per portrait, with a minimum of two portraits. Five portraits: €2,500 excl. VAT. Ten portraits: €5,000 excl. VAT, in a keepsake box, with a gallery piece. Thirty portraits: €15,000 excl. VAT, in a keepsake box, with five gallery pieces. Prices exclude Belgian VAT (21%).

Is the session charged?

No. You choose your portraits after the session, at the reveal, and only the portraits you choose are charged. A deposit of €1,000 excl. VAT is requested on confirmation; it is deducted from the amount of the portraits you choose.

How does a session unfold?

In three stages: a first conversation to set the intent, a session of at least four hours in the studio, then the reveal of the images, about three weeks later. Hair and make-up are always included.

What do you receive?

Each portrait you choose is delivered as a digital file and as an artist’s print, printed and mounted under a mat board in Italy. Below ten portraits, a gallery piece, a large-format print up to more than a metre, can be added for €500 excl. VAT. From ten portraits, your prints are gathered in a keepsake box, with one or more gallery pieces. Delivery within three to four weeks.

In which language does the session take place?

In French or in English.

Does the studio also film?

Yes, this is voice on film. The capsule, a three-minute filmed talk adapted for social media, costs €500 excl. VAT. The podcast is filmed as a pilot (one day, three episodes, €10,000 excl. VAT) or as a season (three days, twelve episodes, €30,000 excl. VAT, pilot deducted), visual and sound identity included. Hair and make-up included, delivery within six to eight weeks. Photography and voice on film are two distinct offers: one can be done without the other.
